Meet Dr Victoria Gnadt

DVM, CVSMT, CVA
Epona Equine Veterinary Care, LLC

Dedicated to equine health and happiness.

Dr. Vicky Gnadt is a Milwaukee-area native, and has been a horse enthusiast her entire life. She began riding horses as a child and still loves her time in the saddle. She knew from childhood on that she wanted to become a veterinarian, so she pursued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning degrees in animal science and biology, and then veterinary medicine. After veterinary school Dr Gnadt completed a year-long internship in sports medicine at Chicago Equine Medical Center (formerly Merritt and Associates Equine Hospital), then moved back to her home state to be the equine veterinarian at a mixed animal practice in Athens, Wisconsin. During that time, she became certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy (also known as animal chiropractic or VSMT) at the Healing Oasis.

Realizing that working on cattle and small animals just didn’t hold a candle to working on horses, Dr. Gnadt returned to being exclusively an equine practitioner. She worked at Great Lakes Equine in the Appleton area, focusing on her then-favorite aspects of equine medicine: ophthalmology, dentistry, and VMST. When the opportunity to move closer to home came in the form of a job with Johnson Equine Veterinary Service in Sullivan, WisconsinI, she didn’t hesitate to join the practice. She built lasting relationships with many wonderful clients and expanded the services Johnson Equine was offering, especially VSMT.

Next, Dr Gnadt decided to focus on her “passion-areas” of equine veterinary medicine – dentistry, VSMT, and acupuncture – and founded her own veterinary practice that featured these services in the fall of 2019. With completion of the mixed-animal acupuncture course at the Chi University in Reddick, Florida, she became competent in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, acupuncture, and herbal medications, which she practices to this day.

Dr. Gnadt is delighted to be in southeastern Wisconsin, serving both local clients and patients in her extended geographical range. In her free time, Dr Gnadt enjoys riding her horse Cisco, bike riding, kayaking, and cooking. She also enjoys relaxing at home with her two Siamese cats, Miss Piggy and Coco (short for co-dependent cat).
